What’s the Correct Move?
Here is what the author (Paul Swain) says about the position:
“Yellow to play 61, holding the cube, unlimited game. Do you hit? Do you hold off and work on your board? Tough decision for me.”

“Be easier to hit if you could duplicate the 3 nicely, but 8/7 looks a bit big. So think I'd play 9/3, 6/5 here as timing seems okay for 3-4 backgame”

“13/7 6/5 for me. I go after the 5 pt and wouldn't mind my bar and don't mind getting hit.”

“In a 3-4 backgame 30-40 pips of timing is sufficient. I'd want to have the 5 point before hitting. I'll put some reference positions from my book below.”
